The course at El Prat Royal Golf Club, located in the town of Terrassa (Barcelona), was opened in December 2003, after a long debate about the wisdom of placing a golf course in a space whose main ecological function should have been to connect the protected areas of the Sant Llorenç de Munt and Collserola mountain ranges to the north of Barcelona.
