The street of the Mediterranean city constitutes a complex urban element that goes beyond the connection function that characterizes it in other cultural and geographic contexts. The Mediterranean street has the capacity of creating relationship spaces that, in many cases, substitute or complement the square and the urban avenues, appearing as an intermediate space for citizen relationships that facilitates the processes of neighbours closeness. It is also a housing extension that, in a way, takes possession of the apparent public space to establish ambiguous relations and to create specific hybridisation environments between the public and the private.
