5th Architectural ideas competition Urban Intervention, Distrito Argentina, Centro Histórico, CDMX 2015
The Government of the Distrito Federal through the Autoridad del Centro Histórico and Autoridad del Espacio Público, in collaboration with Escuela Digital convene young students, interns and tituside areas related to architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, design and related careers. At 5th architectural ideas competition “Urban Intervention, Distrito Argentina, centro Histórico, CDMX, to develop a proposal for the improvement of public space, contributing to a new culture to their rescue.
Purpose of the contest
Promote a culture of recovering public spaces that suffer urban blight problems, roads and streets trading, detriment in quality of habitat, underutilization and unsuitable uses, in order to promote best practices in urban design and planning, which promote improvements in the quality of life for users of the city.
Specific objectives
Make a proposal to transform the public space of the Republica de Argentina street.
• Disseminate and promote best examples of reclaiming public spaces, fostering and deepening the exchange of experiences.
• Establish and empower local program needs.
• Develop strategies to promote cultural and commercial improvement of public space.
