Article 05, paisea 004. New urban situation, new trees. Antoni Falcón.
The main good of the so-called compressed city, traditionally exemplified as the urbs of the Mediterranean but repeated in many other places far from the sea, is to occupy not much territory allowing the mix of uses, integration, socialization and relation between its inhabitants. José Luis Sert complained 1966 referring to the urban plan “now we understand how wrong was the division of the ground uses especially if we take into account the elevated level in which the mixture of those uses has contributed in annulling the best urban landscapes, in which shops and houses, offices, markets, public buildings and private ones have lived and coexisted through centuries”.
