There seem to exist preconceived perceptions about urban public parks. On the one hand, an idyllic vision persists, reaching back to their origins and referring to the fact of considering them places of “salvation”, spaces where it is possible to find harmony between nature and society, positive confluence for the development of the individual immersed in urban pollution. In this sense they transform into ample bucolic surroundings whose fundamental objective is to make posible social relations, recreational activities, the realisation of activities with the purpose of improving the quality of life connected to an aesthetic constancy, to the vision of natural beauty through a landscape purposefully created to this end.
