Semestene City announces a competition for the improvement of Santa Croce area through the removal of the stone portals from the current location in the garden of the Superintendent in Sassari, and the urban regeneration and enhancement of historical and cultural portals, and the ruins of the church of Santa Croce and surrounding area.
The theme of the competition is the identification of an architectural solution that enables the recovery and restoration of ancient stone portals of the ancient Church of Santa Croce, currently placed in the garden of the Superintendent of Sassari, and repositioning them in Semestene its original site, with the formation of a comprehensive proposal to promote urban development and improvement of cultural and historical remains of the old church of Santa Croce and surrounding area, including the reconstruction of historical memory and the adoption of techniques and innovative materials.
