ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION INTERPROFESSIONAL STUDIO (AAIS)

Interactions is a series of workshops organized by Enric Miralles Foundation in cooperation with other international research programs. The aim is to promote interactions between related programs constitute a dynamic network of shared experiences.

The starting point of this workshop is learning to work with natural materials, through the learning of traditional building techniques, know its features and learn to manipulate the material in a simple and easily reproducible.

The aim of the workshop is the realization by the same students in this course, an installation of “urban picnic” where visitors experience the gastronomic Slaughterhouse of local chefs selected by Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio (AAIS).

The facility will also serve as temporary market and local organic produce. Moreover, this space will include the presence of different representations of music, dance and theater organized by ARIS.

The project will result in cooperation intense activity and cultural interaction and creative that will last two weeks, promoting performative dynamic use of space that will complement the ongoing three-day event.

ORGANIZERS

The Foundation Enric Miralles, based on the mode of doing and thinking of Enric Miralles, was established as a center for experimentation in contemporary architecture and other related artistic disciplines, with a platform of knowledge and promotion.

Architectural Association’s Interprofessional Studio (AAIS) is a Graduate course in space and design interventions. The course explores alternative forms of collaboration between the many creative professions through research, the concept, design and implementation or production of a series of a genre that defies spatial interventions and constructions.
